Chelsea are reportedly planning to open discussions with Sassuolo as they seek to re-sign former graduate Jeremie Boga.

The 23-year-old made just one first-team appearances for the Blues before he made the switch to Sassuolo on a permanent basis in 2018.

Boga has been in fine form this term with seven goals and four assists in 24 league appearances and his form has caught the eye of several elite European sides including Barcelona.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the west London side are aware of the widespread interest in the Ivorian's services and they are now keen on re-signing him with the buy-back clause present.

The same outlet indicates that Boga may not necessarily play for the Blues first-team and the Capital outfit may consider selling him on a profit after activating the £12.8m buy-back option.

Boga currently has a contract with Sassuolo until the summer of 2022. He has made the solitary appearance for Ivory Coast in a friendly match which came three years ago.
