Arsenal to re-sign Donyell Malen?
Arsenal are considering a move to re-sign Dutch youngster Donyell Malen from PSV Eindhoven. The in-form attacker has been earmarked as a possible long-term replacement for Gunners strike duo Lacazette and Aubameyang.
Donyell Malen played for Arsenal during 2015 and 2017 and had high hopes at the Emirates, before the club decided to sell him to Dutch club PSV Eindhoven. Since then, Malen has gone on to shine in the Eredivisie. PSV Eindhoven paid a little over 750,000 euros to acquire Malen, and this season the player has scored an impressive 17 goals whilst also returning nine assists.
The 21-year-old, who joined Arsenal in 2015 from Ajax Amsterdam, has now played for the Dutch national team and has scored 1 goal in 4 games for the Oranje so far.
It is understood that Arsenal have the first option to re-sign the player, and that a transfer bid of around 40 million euros might be enough to persuade PSV Eindhoven to sell.
Arsenal are expected to do battle with several top European teams, with the likes of Inter Milan, Man Utd and Man City all expected to make moves for Malen.
