Pogba ready to sign new Man United deal

French midfielder Paul Pogba has reportedly made a surprise U-turn and is prepared to sign a new long-term contract with Manchester United.

The 26-year-old has been in a contract standoff with the Red Devils over the past year and it appeared that he could head through the exit door in the summer.

However, according to The Mail, that does not appear the case anymore and the midfielder has now been convinced that United are making progress in the right direction.

Pogba currently earns around £300,000-a-week with the Red Devils and reports claim that he is willing to sign a new four-year deal for a £100,000-a-week hike on his wages.

Pogba has been out of action for the past 10 weeks following an ankle surgery but Solskjaer has confirmed that he will return to regular training by the middle of March.

The Frenchman is said to be keen on playing alongside January signing Bruno Fernandes. He could make his comeback in the FA Cup quarter-final tie at Norwich City on March 22.
