Arsenal enter the race to sign Brighton defender
Arsenal have reportedly joined the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea in the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White this summer.
The 22-year-old is currently on loan with Leeds United in the Championship where he has been an ever-present figure at the heart of the backline.
Leeds are said to be keen on landing the centre-back on a permanent deal but Football Insider claims that they are bound to face heavy competition from Premier League sides.
Liverpool and Chelsea have already been credited with an interest in the young defender and reports claim that the Gunners have joined the pursuit as they seek to rebuild their defence ahead of next season.
The north London side landed the signature of Pablo Mari on a loan deal from Flamengo in January and they are widely expected to sign him on a permanent basis this summer.
Still, Arteta is understood to be eyeing reinforcements in the central defensive department and the likes of Sokratis and David Luiz could be sold to recoup some of the transfer funds.
