Martial out of LASK clash for Manchester United

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said that Anthony Martial won't be available for the forthcoming Europa League game against Linzer ASK on the road.

The Frenchman suffered a gruesome injury after sliding into the goalpost during the Manchester derby last weekend and Solskjaer has now revealed that he won't be in contention for the first leg of the round of 16 tie.

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Solskjaer confirmed that Martial needs time to recover from the bruising and remained non-committal over the attacker's involvement against Spurs on Sunday.

"Anthony hurt himself when he slid into the post, he is not ready for this game. Hopefully for Sunday, but not sure," he was quoted as saying by Football.London on Wednesday evening.

Martial has been in top form for the Red Devils over the course of the current campaign and he has already amassed 17 goals from 31 appearances in all competitions.

Odion Ighalo has been the back-up striker in the United ranks following his mid-season loan move and the Nigerian is expected to start for the Red Devils at the Linzer Stadium tomorrow.
