Arsenal set Mkhitaryan asking price

Arsenal have reportedly informed AS Roma that they would have to come up with a £23.1m bid in order to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a permanent deal this summer.

The Armenian joined the Serie A side on a season-long loan from the Gunners last summer and he has since contributed six goals and four assists from 20 appearances.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Italian outfit are keen on signing the attacker on a long-term basis and they are expected to initiate talks with the Gunners in the coming months.

However, they are unlikely to get him on the cheap with the north London giants set to demand around £25m to part ways with the ex-Manchester United winger.

Apart from Mkhitaryan, Mohamed Elneny is another Gunners player, who is likely to leave on a permanent basis when his loan contract with Besiktas concludes.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on a squad rebuild during the summer and reports have claimed that a minimum of five players could head through the exit door.
