Manchester United join Chelsea in race to sign Nigerian striker
Manchester United could reportedly battle it out with Chelsea in the race to sign Victor Osimhen from Lille this summer.
The Red Devils recently recruited Odion Ighalo on loan from Shanghai Shenhua and the Nigerian has impressed with four goals and one assist from just eight appearances.
Talks are already underway to sign him on a permanent basis this summer but Le 10 Sport claims that the club could also recruit his compatriot Osimhen from Lille.
Osimhen, 21, has impressed for the French outfit with 18 goals and four assists this campaign and he has been closely tracked by United among others including Chelsea and Liverpool.
His current deal only expires in the summer of 2024 and Lille are in a strong position to command a significant fee to part ways with the former Charleroi youngster.
Manchester United are expected to recruit at least four players this summer. They are currently in advanced talks to sign Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham.
