Real Madrid make contact with Arsenal for 20-goal striker

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang news

Real Madrid want Aubameyang?

Real Madrid have reportedly made an enquiry to Arsenal regarding the availability of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the summer transfer window.

The Gabon international has previously been reported as an alternative target for Los Blancos, suppose they miss out on signing either Erling Haaland or Harry Kane.

However, according to France Football, it is suggested that the club could now focus on landing the 30-year-old's services and they have already initiated talks with the Gunners.

Aubameyang will enter the final year of his Gunners contract in July and reports indicate that he could be sold for around £44m amid his reluctance to extend his deal.

Despite turning 30, the forward has been a consistent performer for the Gunners and in the current season, he has bagged 20 goals across all competitions.

Meanwhile, the departure of Aubameyang may compel the Gunners to land a replacement and there are suggestions that Luka Jovic from Los Blancos could be an option. In such a case, a straight-swap deal could be on the cards.
