Chelsea remain keen on signing 27-goal German striker
Chelsea remain interested in landing the signature of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig during this summer's transfer window.
The Blues are aiming to pursue a new striker at the end of the season and Werner is one of the top names on their summer wishlist.
According to 90min, Werner has the preference to join Liverpool but the Reds have yet to show any intention of triggering his £51m release clause.
It is added that the Blues are keeping an eye on the situation and they could make the move if Jurgen Klopp's side decide to switch their attention to strengthening other positions on the field.
The west London giants are anticipating a number of departures this summer and the likes of Pedro and Willian are expected to leave the club when their contracts expire.
Elsewhere, Michy Batshuayi may also head through the exit door and Lampard is said to be eyeing at least one high-profile addition to the attack ahead of next season.
Werner, who can play anywhere across the attack, has bagged 27 goals and 12 assists for Leipzig this term. He has already turned down a move to Bayern Munich.
