Arsenal prepared to hand Thomas Partey a bumper deal?
Arsenal are reportedly willing to make Thomas Partey one of the highest paid players at the club, suppose he decides to join them during the summer.
The Ghana international has spent his entire career with Atletico Madrid and he has made nearly 180 appearances in all competitions for the side.
He has more than three years remaining in his existing deal with Atleti but they are keen to extend his stay due to the £45m release clause in his contract.
So far, they have been unsuccessful in doing so and Goal.com reports that the Gunners are in regular contact with the player's representative.
Partey is said to be open to playing in the Premier League and the Gunners are reportedly the preferred destination for him, if he leaves Madrid.
He currently earns around £65,000-a-week at Atleti and the north London side are willing to offer more than £150,000-a-week in order to lure him to the club.
Arsenal have been hampered financially by the coronavirus pandemic but manager Mikel Arteta is still said to be determined to land the services of Partey.
