Manchester City could go head-to-head with Manchester United in the race to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa during the summer transfer window.

Grealish has enjoyed a good season since the Villains' return to the top-flight and he has bagged seven goals and six assists from 30 appearances for the club.

Still, the west Midlands outfit are facing the possibility of relegation and reports have claimed that he is likely to leave the club regardless of their league status next term.

In recent months, United have been touted as the favourites to acquire his services but The Telegraph claims that the Cityzens could make a move, suppose Leroy Sane heads for the exit door.

Sane has declined to extend his deal beyond June 2021 and it is reported that the Cityzens are likely to sanction his sale this summer rather than losing him for nothing next summer.

Bayern are the front-runners to sign the German for around £45m and the Cityzens are could utilise the transfer fee received for the purchase of Grealish from the Villains.
