Serie A giants Inter Milan have yet to extend the loan contract of Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez, a report from Sky Italia claims.

The Chilean joined the Nerazzurri on a temporary deal at the beginning of last season and he has experienced a tough campaign where he has missed a number of games through injuries.

Still, he has amassed 19 appearances across all competitions and has been largely a back-up option behind Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku for the centre-forward role.

According to Sky Italia, the Nerazzurri are keen to extend his loan spell until the end of their Europa League campaign in August, but they have yet to renegotiate the deal with the Red Devils.

Sanchez's loan contract is scheduled to expire on June 30 and he may not be involved in any competition for the rest of the season, suppose there is no agreement between the sides.

The former Arsenal man has bagged only one goal and two assists in the Serie A this term. He has managed just 121 minutes of playing time since the season restart from four appearances.
