Manchester United want to sign ex-Arsenal graduate?
Manchester United have reportedly joined the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Ismael Bennacer from AC Milan.
The Algeria international made the switch to the Rossoneri from Empoli last summer and he has since accumulated 27 appearances for the club in all competitions.
His progress has already grabbed the attention of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain and Algerian outlet competition claims that the Red Devils are firmly in the race to sign him.
The former Arsenal youngster is currently contracted to the Rossoneri until the summer of 2024 and reports claim that he has a £45m release clause which does not become active until June 2021.
Still, the club are open to listening to offers this summer which are close to the player's buy-out clause. Earlier last month, Les Parisiens made an opening bid of £35m, but it was swiftly rebuffed by the Rossoneri.
Manchester United are said to be keen on signing a new midfielder ahead of next season. Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has been highlighted as their prime target, but they have yet to make a formal approach for his services.
