Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that he is really happy with the displays of Dani Ceballos, but it is up to the club to decide whether to sign him on a permanent basis from Real Madrid.

The Spaniard has experienced a mixed loan season with the Gunners, but he has been an integral part of Arteta's plans over the past 10 games, where he has accompanied Granit Xhaka in the centre of the park.

Ceballos' displays have improved on a game-by-game basis and Arteta has reiterated that he would personally prefer to keep hold of the midfielder beyond the current campaign.

"Well, that’s a conversation that we’re having with the club to see what we can do in the future with him. I always say as an example, he’s a loan player but when you see how he celebrates for every goal and the way he trains every day and how much he cares, I’m really happy with him," He told via Arsenal.com.

Ceballos is set to be sold by Real Madrid this summer as he is not in the plans of Zinedine Zidane. It has been reported that he could be available for as little as £23m. Valencia and former side Real Betis are also interested in signing him.
