Arsenal ready new contracts for first-team duo
Arsenal are prepared to hand new contracts to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Emiliano Martinez in the coming days, a report from The Times claims.
Aubameyang has only 11 months remaining on his current contract, but it appears that he will be convinced to stay after the FA Cup title win.
Meanwhile, Martinez has seen a tremendous turnaround to his career after spending a decade on the fringes of the first-team squad.
The Argentine was exceptional in goal during the final six weeks of the season after the injury to Bernd Leno and the Gunners are keen on rewarding him.
According to The Times, both players will be offered fresh deals in the near future and the board are confident that they will commit their futures to the club.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is aiming to build his squad around Aubameyang and the focus appears on adding more experienced players in the team ahead of next season.
Willian has been tipped to join the club on a free transfer this month.
