Paris Saint-Germain captain wants to join Chelsea?
Paris Saint-Germain Thiago Silva is reportedly eager to make the move to the Premier League with Chelsea this summer.
The Brazil international has been with Les Parisiens since the summer of 2012, but he is expected to leave the club after the Champions League final.
He has yet to make a decision on his future, but French outlet Telefoot la chaine claims that he would prefer to test himself in the Premier League.
The 35-year-old is eyeing a two-year contract and is said to favour a move to the Blues, where he has the assurance of Champions League football.
Aside from the Blues, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have also been credited with an interest in the defender, who is willing to take a significant pay-cut.
Silva earns around £280,000-a-week at Parc des Princes and he could accept a reduction of nearly 50 percent in order to make the switch to England this summer.
Chelsea have been reluctant to offer more than a one-year extension for players aged above 30, but they have occasionally changed their policy with David Luiz being an example.
