Chelsea on the verge of signing Premier League ace

Chelsea are reportedly on the cusp of agreeing a deal for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell.

The Blues have been in regular contact with the Foxes over Chilwell and it appears that they are close to securing his transfer.

Brendan Rodgers' side were demanding £80m for the player, but it seems that they are now prepared to accept a package of around £50m for his sale.

According to The Mail, the west London side are in advanced negotiations for the left-back and the transfer could be announced in the next few days.

Chilwell is said to have already undergone a series of medical tests in the English capital and could soon be confirmed as a Blues player.

The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and the arrival of Chilwell will take their spending to above £130m for the summer.

Kai Havertz is another player, who has been tipped to head to Stamford Bridge, but he will cost at least £90m from Bayer Leverkusen.
