Manchester United favourites to land Spanish defender
Manchester United are reportedly leading the race to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid during the ongoing transfer window.
The left-back spent the 2019/2020 season on loan with Sevilla and he played an important role for them with three goals and five assists from 38 appearances.
He has returned to the Bernabeu as Sevilla did not have the option to buy and Marca claims that the Red Devils are now the favourites to prise him away from the Spanish champions.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams as the left-back options, but the consistent injury problems for the former may be a reason behind the pursuit of Reguilon.
The club are said to have made an interesting proposal for the Spain Under-21 international and reports claim that he would be assured a starting spot, if he makes the switch to Old Trafford.
Reguilon is wanted back by Sevilla after their Europa League triumph, but United are clearly leading the race as they are willing to sign him permanently with a lucrative salary.
