Bale back on Man United radar

Manchester United could reportedly shift their attention to signing Gareth Bale from Real Madrid after their failure to negotiate the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

Sancho has been their prime transfer target for the summer, but a deal has failed to materialise due to Borussia Dortmund's hefty £108m price tag.

United have sought to negotiate a lesser fee for the attacker, but Dortmund are adamant that they won't sell him for anything less.

Hence, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking into alternative options and The Express claims that they could turn to long-term target Bale.

Bale is open to a return to the Premier League this summer and Los Blancos have set a low asking price of around £18.5m for his services.

The La Liga champions are keen to get him off their wage bill and it is reported that they could compensate 50 percent of his salary until June 2022.

Bale has also been linked with a move to former club Tottenham Hotspur.
