Manchester United planning bid for Spanish defender
Manchester United are reportedly planning an opening bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon.
The Red Devils currently have Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams as the left-back choices, but the former has struggled with regular injury concerns.
Meanwhile, Williams is a naturally a right-back and it appears that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on pursuing a new left-sided defender.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United are preparing an opening bid for Reguilon, but they are reluctant to meet the £27.5m valuation set by Los Blancos.
It is added that the Red Devils have no plans of including a buy-back clause. Reguilon impressed on a season-long loan at Sevilla last season, where he made 38 appearances in all competitions.
Earlier this month, Sevilla pulled out of the race to sign him permanently due to the price and they have followed up to purchase Marcos Acuna from Sporting Lisbon as his replacement.
This has left the Red Devils with a clear route to land the Spain international, but they have yet to reach a suitable agreement with Zinedine Zidane's side.
