Arsenal agree to sell Lucas Torreira?
Arsenal have reportedly agreed on the transfer of midfielder Lucas Torreira to Torino.
Torreira has struggled for game time under the guidance of Mikel Arteta and he failed to make the matchday squad for the recent derby against Fulham.
According to Calciomercato, the Uruguayan is close to returning to the Serie A with Torino, who have agreed on a £22m deal with the Gunners.
Torreira made a name for himself at Sampdoria where he worked for three seasons under manager Marco Giampaolo.
The 53-year-old took charge of Torino earlier last month and the midfielder appears set to be reunited with his former head coach.
Aside from Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi could also head for the exit door in the coming weeks after falling out-of-favour under Arteta.
The Gunners are looking to sign either Thomas Partey or Houssem Aouar before the international transfer window closes on October 5.
Out of the pair, Partey is definitely the top target. Atletico Madrid are reluctant to sell unless the £45m buy-out clause on his contract is triggered.
