Manchester United plan shock swoop for NGolo Kante

Manchester United want N'Golo Kante?

Manchester United are reportedly planning a surprise attempt to sign N'Golo Kante from Chelsea this summer.

The Red Devils have experienced a quiet transfer window and Donny van de Beek remains their solitary purchase.

They are likely to make a few more signings before the deadline and The Mirror claims that they have their sights on landing Kante.

The 29-year-old has been with the Blues for the past four years, but reports claim that the Blues are open to selling him this summer.

Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen on securing the services of West Ham United's Declan Rice and his arrival could coincide with Kante's exit.

United are one of the leading clubs interested in Kante, but a transfer may be dependent on whether he is willing to take a pay-cut on his wages.

The Frenchman is one of the Premier League's highest earners with a salary of £300,000-a-week. He has three years remaining on his current deal.
