West Ham United win the race to sign Said Benrahma
West Ham United have reportedly won the race to sign Brentford winger Said Benrahma, who was previously linked with the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Benrahma had a superb 2019/2020 season with the Bees where he contributed 17 goals and a further 10 assists from 46 Championship appearances.
Despite this, the west London outfit missed out on promotion via the play-offs and it now appears that he could be heading to the top-flight with the Hammers.
According to The Athletic's David Ornstein, the Hammers are set to land the signature of Benrahma from the Bees after agreeing to pay a fee of around £30m.
David Moyes' side will be able to announce the deal before the EFL transfer deadline on Friday, provided they are able to agree personal terms with the attacker.
Benrahma is currently on international duty with Algeria, who are scheduled to face Mexico in a friendly on Tuesday night. He should thereafter return to England to negotiate terms with the Hammers.
