Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reacts after Arsenal's 1-0 win at Old Trafford
Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has expressed his delight after the Gunners registered a 1-0 Premier League win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The Gunners had gone into the game without a league win at Old Trafford in 14 years while they had failed to beat any of the big six away from home since February 2015.
Both of those records were shattered as the Gunners registered a slender 1-0 win. Aubameyang scored the winning from the penalty spot shortly after the hour mark.
Speaking after the game, Aubameyang acknowledged that the result is a very big one for the Gunners as they won for the first time at Old Trafford since September 2006.
"Very big. I’m really happy because the team did very well. It’s been a long time since we won here. The team did a great job. Mikel [Arteta] is bringing something very nice and we have to follow," He told Sky Sports.
The north London giants have moved to eighth on the table with the win. They are now just one point behind the top four and will be aiming to make up ground when Aston Villa visit the Emirates Stadium next weekend.
