Chelsea willing to sell Italian star in January
Chelsea are willing to part ways with Emerson Palmieri in January amid fresh interest from the Italian top-flight.
The Italy international was on the radar of Juventus, Inter Milan and former club AS Roma last summer, but none of them could afford to sign him on a permanent basis.
Hence, Palmieri had to stay put, but his future with the club seems bleak with Ben Chilwell, Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso ahead of him in the pecking order for the left-back role.
According to Area Napoli, the defender is attracting interest from Napoli, whose manager Gennaro Gattuso is keen on improving the backline options midway through the season.
While the Blues would prefer the permanent sale of the left-back, it is claimed that the Naples outfit will look to sign him on loan with the option for a permanent purchase next summer.
Emerson has recently admitted that he is frustrated with the lack of gametime. He has played in just two Cup matches and has yet to participate in the Premier League this term.
