Ajax star dreams of Manchester City transfer
Ajax defender Edson Alvarez has talked up the dream of playing for Manchester City in the Premier League.
Alvarez arrived at the Eredivisie champions last summer and he has since made 30 appearances in all competitions.
The Mexican is generally a centre-back, but he has largely played as the defensive midfielder during his time at the club.
In an interview with Voetbalzone, Alvarez was asked his future ambitions where he spoke about his dream of winning the Eredivisie.
He added that he has the desire to play in the Premier League and Manchester City are his preferred destination.
"I would really like to achieve an Eredivisie title one day and then it is a dream of mine to play in the Premier League one day," He told.
"Manchester City is my favourite club, so that would be perfect."
The Cityzens bolstered their central defence earlier this summer with the arrivals of Nathan Ake and Ruben Dias.
They are, however, likely to pursue a new holding midfielder in the future with the potential exit of Fernandinho at the end of the season.
It will be interesting to see whether Alvarez can catch their attention by producing consistent performances this term.
