Arsenal provide fresh update on Thomas Partey's injury
Arsenal have revealed that midfielder Thomas Partey is still nursing a thigh injury and he won't be available for the weekend's Premier League clash against Leeds United.
The Ghana international recently produced a man of the match performance against Manchester United at Old Trafford where the Gunners won by a 1-0 scoreline.
He started the following game against Aston Villa, but was substituted midway through the 3-0 defeat after suffering a thigh problem in the closing stages of the first half.
Earlier this week, it was reported that he could recover in time to face the Peacocks on the road, but the Gunners have now revealed that he is still going rehabilitation for the setback.
Elsewhere, Mohamed Elneny also won't be available for the contest after testing positive for the coronavirus on international duty with Egypt and the Gunners will have a double change in the midfield.
Both Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos are widely expected to start and the pair will be aiming to keep their spots for the long-term by producing a strong display at Elland Road.
