Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United want Chelsea striker
Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are set to compete for the signature of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in January.
Giroud has made only five appearances for the Blues this term and four of them have come from the substitutes' bench.
He has already expressed his discontent over the reduced playing time and could make the switch elsewhere at the turn of the year.
According to Calciomercato, Giroud is aware of the need for regular first-team football in order to command a starting spot with France at Euro 2020.
He has been on the radar of the likes of Inter Milan and Lazio, but reports claim that he would prefer to stay put in the English capital.
Hence, it appears that Spurs and Hammers are willing to offer him an escape route and it remains to be seen whether a move materialises.
Crystal Palace have also been credited with an interest, but they may have cooled their pursuit after landing Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi on loan last summer.
