Frank Lampard reacts to Chelsea's draw vs Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that the Blues should have come up with the victory during their Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Blues had the opportunity to go top of the table with a win, but were unable to do so as they settled for a goalless stalemate.
They restricted their London rivals from having any clear-cut chances on goal and could have quite easily won the game on another day with some luck.
Mason Mount's effort on goal was terrifically saved by Hugo Lloris and in stoppage time, Oliver Giroud squandered a golden chance to win the match.
Speaking after the match, Lampard said that the Blues should have ideally won the game. He added that he can't be overly critical on Giroud after his late Champions League winner in midweek.
"It went as I sort of expected. I thought we'd have a lot of possession. We didn't give Kane or Son a sniff. We created enough to win the game," He told via BBC Sport.
"Goalkeeper makes a great save from Mason Mount. Giroud gets his chance. He won us the game midweek and is the man you want is those positions so I can't be too critical."
The Blues are currently third on the Premier League table with 20 points, just one behind leaders Tottenham. They are scheduled to host Leeds United next weekend.
