Paris Saint-Germain will reportedly look to beat Barcelona in the race to sign Memphis Depay during the January transfer window.

The Dutchman was tipped to join the Blaugrana from Lyon last summer, but the deal fell through on deadline day due to financial constraints.

He has been touted to join the Catalan giants in January, but Le Parisiens claims that the French champions could compete with them.

It is added that the 26-year-old is well appreciated by both Kylian Mbappe and Neymar and they could make an approach to sign him next month.

Depay has less than seven months remaining on his contract and Les Gones have a huge decision to make regarding his future.

Rudi Garcia's side have been in stellar form of late and are only goal difference behind Lille for the top spot on the league table.

Club president Jean-Michel Aulas has previously stated that his side don't face the pressure to sell Depay despite his contract situation.

The former Manchester United forward has registered six goals and four assists from 14 appearances for Lyon this season.
