Mikel Arteta updates on Mesut Ozil's future
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the future of Mesut Ozil will be decided in the next few years.
The German is deemed surplus to requirements and he was left out of the Premier League squad earlier in October.
With under six months left on his contract, Ozil is free to speak with foreign clubs and he has been fancied to join Fenerbahce.
It is still unclear whether he will leave the Gunners this month or in the summer, but Arteta has said that a decision will be made shortly.
"We will decide what is happening in the next few days. A decision has to be made when you have to register or not register players, when you have to play them or not play them all the time," He told.
The Gunners have already loaned out Sead Kolasinac and William Saliba this month and they are currently on the cusp of selling Sokratis with interest from Genoa.
The north London giants will start the defence of their FA Cup title with a third round tie against Newcastle United this weekend. They have recently found form with three wins on the bounce.
