Chelsea receive Declan Rice transfer boost
Chelsea have received a boost in signing Declan Rice with the West Ham United midfielder keen on prolonging his career in London.
The England international is regarded as one of the Premier League's most consistent midfielders and he has been regularly linked with the Blues.
Frank Lampard's side are unlikely to make an approach to sign him this month, but they could make a move for his services at the end of the season.
According to The Mirror, Rice will consider a move away from the Hammers, but he would prefer to stay in London rather than head to Manchester.
Hence, he is prepared to turn down any advances from Manchester United and that should directly benefit the Blues in landing his signature.
Lampard remains a huge admirer of the versatile midfielder, but the hierarchy have some doubts over the ability of the 21-year-old.
The Blues are likely to monitor Rice's performances for the rest of the campaign before considering a possible transfer approach.
