Arne Slot confirms double injury blow after Brighton win

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed a double injury blow following the 2-0 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield yesterday.
The Reds returned to winning ways in the league with a hard-fought victory over the Seagulls. Hugo Ekitike was the standout performer with a goal in either half.
Despite the win, there was some disappointing news as Joe Gomez and Dominik Szoboszlai picked up muscle and ankle injuries respectively.
Slot said that Gomez is certainly out for the next game against Tottenham Hotspur, but he remained optimistic over Szoboszlai's availability.
Liverpool are currently sixth in the standings with 26 points, two behind fourth-placed Chelsea. They are 10 points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
The Reds have found some form in recent weeks, and the onus is now on building a long winning run in order to catch up on the Gunners.
The Anfield giants will be away to Spurs next weekend before taking on Wolves, Leeds United and Fulham. They have a winnable schedule.
