Paul Scholes urges Manchester United to sign Leicester City ace
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has urged his former club to land the signature of Wesley Fofana from Leicester City.
The Red Devils are currently top of the league table with 36 points and their defensive displays have been far from convincing.
Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire have regularly played at the heart of the defence, but of late, Eric Bailly has taken the former's position.
The Ivorian has impressed alongside the England international, but Scholes has talked about the defender's worrying injury record.
Hence, he has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to consider a new centre-back and believes Fofana could be an ideal signing.
"If I was Ole and could sign a defender this month, I'd go for Wesley Fofana at Leicester. He's only 20, but he has been outstanding and he has the potential to be anything he wants to be," He told ESPN.
Fofana only joined the Foxes from Saint-Etienne last summer after turning down advances from West Ham United.
The Frenchman has been a huge hit alongside Jonny Evans and the club are currently fourth on the table, four points behind United.
The Foxes generally don't consider any bids midway through the season and it is unlikely that Fofana will go anywhere.
