Porto looking to sign Manchester United attacker
Porto are reportedly looking at the prospect of signing Jesse Lingard from Manchester United this month.
The England international has fallen down the pecking order this term and he has yet to make a Premier League appearance.
The attacker has been linked with loan moves to Sheffield United and West Ham United, but United may ideally prefer his permanent exit.
According to Todo Fichajes, Porto are planning an approach for Lingard and they are prepared to pay around £8.9m for his services.
Lingard has under 18 months remaining on his contract and it remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will consider the proposal.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly reluctant to offload any attackers this month as he wants sufficient squad depth for the title challenge.
The club have performed above expectations so far and they are presently top of the Premier League standings with 40 points on the board.
United recently booked their spot in the fifth round of the FA Cup following a 3-2 triumph over arch-rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford.
