Liverpool determined to sign Serie A centre-back

Liverpool have identified Torino defender Bremer as one of their top targets for the summer transfer window.

The Reds are currently without Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip with season-ending injuries while Fabinho is also sidelined with a minor setback.

They were able to fill the void with the signings of Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak before the winter transfer deadline and the latter recently made his debut in the 3-1 defeat to Leicester City.

According to The Mirror, the Reds may look to reinforce the department further in the summer and Jurgen Klopp has his sights on purchasing Bremer from Torino.

The 23-year-old is regarded as a potential future partner for Van Dijk, but the Reds are likely to face competition for his signature. The Brazilian is also on the radar of several elite Serie A sides including AS Roma. 

The arrival of another centre-back may pave the way for the departure of Joel Matip, who has suffered multiple injuries in recent years and has failed to cement a starting spot.
