Fabrizio Romano reveals Arsenal are monitoring Premier League right-back
Reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal are keeping tabs on Brighton & Hove Albion defender Tariq Lamptey.
Lamptey made the surprise move to the Seagulls from Chelsea in January last year and he has since made 19 appearances for them.
He was almost ever-present for them in the right wing-back position earlier this season before sustaining a hamstring injury in December.
Lamptey has recently managed to overcome the setback and he should feature for the club in the coming weeks as they fight to avoid relegation.
Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Romano said that Lamptey is one of the players on the Gunners radar to replace right-back Hector Bellerin.
The 20-year-old does not have the height at only 1.64m, but he has impressed with his dribbling and ball retention abilities.
The youngster has been more effective going forward and has made five goal contributions in his short time with the south coast outfit.
