Arsenal receive Martin Odegaard transfer blow

Martin Odegaard news

Real Madrid want to keep Odegaard next season

Arsenal have received a potential blow with Real Madrid planning to integrate Martin Odegaard into their first-team plans next term.

The Norwegian played just 375 minutes for Los Blancos during the first half of the season and he was loaned out to the Gunners in January.

Odegaard made a slow start to his Gunners career, but he has recently impressed with back-to-back goals against Olympiacos and Spurs.

According to The Mail, manager Mikel Arteta wants to keep hold of Odegaard next term on either a temporary or permanent deal.

However, Los Blancos have different plans in mind and manager Zinedine Zidane could bring Odegaard back to the first-team fold.

It was recently suggested that Odegaard could be offloaded as Los Blancos aim to recoup funds for the purchase of Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland.

That does not appear the case anymore and Odegaard is regarded as someone, who could play a big part for Los Blancos in the future.
