Bayern Munich star rejects move to Chelsea
Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has rejected the chance to join Chelsea on a free transfer during the summer.
The Austrian's current deal with Bayern expires at the end of June and he has already confirmed that he will leave them after 13 years.
The Blues are among the clubs, who have approached his agent over a pre-contract, but Sky Germany claims that Alaba has snubbed them.
He has also rejected advances from high-flying Manchester City as he is not keen on making the move to the Premier League this summer.
Alaba has the preference to play in the Spanish La Liga and Real Madrid and Barcelona could battle it out for his signature.
The Blues are likely to pursue a new central defender this summer despite the resurgence of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Rudiger and Christensen were out-of-favour under former boss Frank Lampard, but have revived their careers since Thomas Tuchel took over.
Their contracts are scheduled to expire at the end of next season, but negotiations are already planned to reward them with fresh deals.
