Arsenal eyeing move for Argentine midfielder with £68m release clause
Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez.
The 26-year-old has made 43 appearances for Betis since joining them from Club America during the 2020 January transfer window.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the north London giants are keeping tabs on the midfielder and could make an approach for his services this summer.
He has a release clause worth £68m on his contract, but the Gunners are hopeful of signing him for much less in the next transfer window.
Betis need to offload players to balance their books and they are willing to sell the Argentina international for the right price.
Rodriguez is a defensive midfielder by trade and the Gunners consider him as a potential partner for Thomas Partey next term.
Aside from Rodriguez, the club are also monitoring the situation of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma.
Bissouma is valued at around £30m and reports claim that the Gunners have already made contact with his representatives.
