Arsenal, Chelsea wanted Barcelona-bound star
Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia reportedly snubbed interest from Arsenal and Chelsea before agreeing to join Barcelona.
The Spaniard has agreed terms over a five-year deal with the Catalan giants and the move will be made official when his Cityzens contract expires in June.
According to The Star, both Chelsea and Arsenal offered Garcia the opportunity of staying in the Premier League, but they were unable to convince him.
Right from the summer, Garcia made his mind up to rejoin the Blaugrana, where he spent nine years in the academy before moving to the Cityzens in 2017.
Garcia was handed his Premier League debut a couple of years ago, but he has never been able to become a regular for the Cityzens with the vast competition for places.
The club had still offered him a new deal, but he decided to turn down the extension. He is expected to formally sign a pre-contract with the Blaugrana next month.
