Milan determined to sign Tomori permanently

AC Milan vice president Franco Baresi has said that the Rossoneri 'will do everything possible' to sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea this summer.

The centre-back joined the Rossoneri from the Blues on loan during the January transfer window and the Serie A outfit managed to negotiate a buy option worth £26m.

It has been suggested that they may not afford to pay the figure, but Baresi has said that the Rossoneri will do their best to bring the England international to San Siro on a permanent basis.

"We will do everything possible to sign him on a permanent deal," He told Gazzetta dello Sport. "Two months are remaining until the end of the season, and it's not only up to Milan."

Tomori has been a regular starter for the Rossoneri and he has already accumulated 12 appearances across all competitions while earning praise from the club's faithful.

Milan are on course for a return to the Champions League after seven seasons, and that could boost their transfer kitty for the summer and facilitate the deal for Tomori.
