Manchester United and Chelsea in the running to sign Argentine star

Manchester United and Chelsea are among the clubs interested in signing Sergio Aguero on a free transfer this summer.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that Aguero will be leaving Manchester City when his contract expires at the end of the season.

His availability has attracted interest from multiple European sides and Footmercato claims that both United and Chelsea are also keen.

The Argentine is free to negotiate a pre-contract with an overseas club, but he is likely to delay his decision until the summer.

He is reportedly keen on a move to Barcelona, but a deal appears unlikely with manager Ronald Koeman preferring to sign Memphis Depay.

Aguero could be offered the chance to remain in England, but it is claimed that he may snub advances from the Premier League rivals.
