Brighton & Hove Albion defender Ben White is open to joining Manchester United when the transfer window reopens this summer.

The centre-back spent the previous campaign on loan with Leeds United, but the Whites were unable to re-sign him.

The Seagulls rejected three permanent bids from the Yorkshire outfit, and the 23-year-old has since been an integral part of their plans.

According to Manchester Evening News, White is open to the idea of joining the Red Devils during the forthcoming transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have been tracking his performances, but a deal won't be straightforward with Brighton set to demand over £35m.

Solskjaer reportedly prefers a left-footed centre-back alongside Harry Maguire, and Villarreal's Pau Torres has been regularly linked.

It has also been claimed that Maguire would like to be partnered by a fellow compatriot, and it remains to be seen whether United move for White.

White will come up against Manchester United in the league this weekend. Graham Potter's side make the trip to Old Trafford on Sunday.
