Newcastle United enter race to sign Chelsea striker
Newcastle United have joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham during the summer transfer window.
The England international is the Blues' top scorer this season with 12 goals, but he has fallen out-of-favour in recent months.
Abraham has made just two substitute league appearances since March, and it appears that he could be heading for a summer exit.
According to ESPN, the Magpies have joined the likes of West Ham United and Leicester City in the pursuit of the marksman.
The Magpies have relied heavily on Callum Wilson for goals this term, while Arsenal loanee Joe Willock has been the gamechanger of late.
They are keen on landing a top-class striker this summer, and are hopeful of luring Abraham with the assurance of regular game time.
Abraham has two years remaining on his contract with the Blues. He is reportedly valued at around £40m by the west London giants.
He has reportedly become frustrated with his treatment by manager Thomas Tuchel, which is expected to cost him a spot for Euro 2020.
