Arsenal attacker to push for summer exit?

Reiss Nelson news

Nelson could head for summer exit

Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson could push for a move away from the Gunners during the forthcoming transfer window.

The 21-year-old was fancied to leave on loan in January, but he decided to stay put to fight for his position.

He has not made a single appearance for them in recent months, and Football.London claims that he will assess his options.

Nelson's existing deal with the Gunners expires in June 2023. He has made just eight first-team appearances this term.

It has previously been reported that he could be sold for £20 million as part of the summer rebuild under Mikel Arteta.

Aside from Nelson, the likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Eddie Nketiah and Joe Willock could also be shown the exit door.

The Gunners are currently ninth in the league standings with 49 points, four adrift of the final European spot.

They are 12 points adrift of the top four with four games left. They need to win the Europa League to secure a Champions League berth.
