Manchester City, Manchester United to compete for Kalidou Koulibaly?
Manchester City and Manchester United could go head-to-head to land the signature of Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.
The Senegal international has been heavily linked with a Premier League move since 2016. He was on the radar of City and United last summer, but they were put off by the £80m price tag.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Naples outfit are prepared to part ways with their prized asset this summer amid the financial impact due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It is added that the club's hierarchy are willing to lower the asking price for the former Genk man, and could be prepared to sell him for just £43m when the transfer window reopens.
Koulibaly remains a long-term target for Barcelona while Liverpool and Everton have also been credited with an interest. A move to Goodison Park could see him reunited with former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The 29-year-old centre-back has struggled with injuries this term, but has still made 37 appearances in all competitions for Napoli, who are two points adrift of the Champions League places.
