Tottenham Hotspur to rival Arsenal for 21-year-old defender
Tottenham Hotspur could compete with north London rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Norwich City defender Max Aarons.
Spurs are likely to pursue a new right-back this summer, and Aarons has been earmarked as their prime transfer target.
According to Football Insider, the Canaries have a gentleman's agreement with Aarons, and he is likely to be sold this summer.
Spurs have become the latest club to register an interest in the 21-year-old, who could be available for around £30m.
Arsenal, West Ham United and Everton are among the other clubs credited with an interest in the England youth international.
The Gunners are lining up a replacement for Hector Bellerin, who has been tipped to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.
Bellerin has struggled to nail down a regular role in recent months, and the club are open to offers for the Spaniard.
Meanwhile, Aarons was also linked with Barcelona last summer, but it is unclear whether they are still interested in landing him.
