Arsenal make transfer decision on Dani Ceballos
Arsenal won't attempt to sign Dani Ceballos on a permanent deal when his season-long loan from Real Madrid concludes.
The midfielder impressed for the Gunners on loan last season, and he was hence re-signed by the club on another temporary deal.
Ceballos has been disappointing this term, where he has struggled to nail down a starting role, and he appears set to return to Madrid.
According to PA Sport, the Gunners have no desire to keep Ceballos, while the player himself wants to return to Spain.
Ceballos is unlikely to revive his Madrid career, and reports claim that Los Blancos are open to offloading him permanently.
Former club Real Betis are reportedly leading the hunt to sign him, while there is also interest from Valencia and Sevilla.
Ceballos has started only 17 league games this term. Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey have recently been the preferred midfield pairing.
Mohamed Elneny was preferred to start alongside Partey against Chelsea on Wednesday. Xhaka was unavailable with a groin problem.
