Sander Berge keen on joining Arsenal
Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge is keen on joining Arsenal when the transfer window reopens during the summer.
The Norwegian was previously on the Gunners' radar before the Blades signed him from Genk for £20m in January 2020.
Berge has impressed with his displays from the holding midfield role. He is highly-rated despite being largely injured this season.
According to The Mirror, the Norwegian has a release clause worth £35 million on his contract, and the Gunners are contemplating an approach.
It is added that Berge would welcome the prospect of joining the north London giants during the forthcoming transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with the Norwegian, but the Gunners have the advantage due to the presence of Albert Stuivenberg.
Stuivenberg, who is the assistant to manager Mikel Arteta, previously managed Berge in 2017 when he was the Genk head coach.
Sheffield were the first team to be relegated from the Premier League this term. They are yet to announce a permanent manager for next season.
